Krystian Shek Pyramide EP – BM008

BerettaMusic brings another fantastic release. This time, flexing the production muscle of Krystian Shek (Tic Tac Toe/Yangiyul). The EP starts up with “Pyramide”; a big room electronic-minimal jam with tweaked out bass and bubbling goodness, already drawing comparisons to highly regarded artists such as James Holden and TrenteMoller. Next up is “The Pope”, with it’s booming kick and quirky synth stabs. The track builds eerily into the depth with it’s trippy synth and tweaky vocal that carries the track well.

On remix duty, it’s none other than Brian Kage (Beretta/Lumina). First up is Kage’s Peak Mix which builds incessantly from the get go, with it’s huge synth stabs and bass that bounces nicely between the massive hat and kick combo. Last but not least, Kage’s Kracked Out Mix which takes the track way deep with a more stripped down approach. Overall, fantastic EP capturing the new sound of BerettaMusic for the new year.
